Super Mario Bros Dunk High

okay, this one prolly posed a interesting problem  lol with this pair i was asked to make it based on the original Nintendo game. yea the OG doing a true OG, NICE. the problem? workin with the limited stuff the video game presented to me. theres not alot of artwork in the game, characters, etc, so i had to try and be a might more “TActful” in the execution. all i knew was i wanted to make it more relevant, and do something diffeent then most artist who have done work based on the game have done, so i went with the 2 main characters Mario and Luigi, but then i decided to kick it up a small notch and make them look like the 3D versions.that way it still nods to the past, yet has a new wave feeling, plus i havnt seen anybody do it yet so yea, it was needed. then i stuck with the old background colors of blue and green to tie it up, with the front brown to resemble the bricks, and my logo in a gold block like the ones they would break with there heads. to top it off even further i added metal Toadstools on the toungue where the tags would be in the respectful green and red colors to match the shoes, along with the red midsole stitch and green inside, to better balance the images. hope you
all enjoy. definately let me know. thanks.

heres the base shoes i used. same ones i did the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Dunks on last year

and heres what you came for…

Great stuff from you, man. Ive read your stuff before and youre just too awesome. I love what youve got here, love what youre saying and the way you say it. You make it entertaining and you still manage to keep it smart. I cant wait to read more from you. This is really a great blog.

  3. Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
